Missions

Sacks of Love is designed to meet the needs of hungry children at times when other resources are not available. Many at risk students in the Kershaw County Schools are in a position where they have few options for meals on the weekends.  The purpose of Sacks of Love is to provide sacks filled with nutritious food that children can take home on weekends. We are currently serving 50 students.

Operation Christmas Child | Shoebox Outreach of Samaritan's Purse

Hillcrest Baptist Church actively participated in Operation Christmas Child (OCC), a global initiative led by Samaritan's Purse that brings joy to children in need by providing them with gift-filled shoeboxes during the holiday season. This year, their dedicated efforts resulted in the packing and donation of over 300 OCC boxes, symbolizing the church's commitment to spreading joy and making a meaningful impact on the lives of children around the globe.

In a touching display of community generosity, Hillcrest Baptist Church recently extended a warm hand to the children at Connie Maxwell House. Recognizing the importance of spreading joy and fostering a sense of care, the church passionately donated an array of toys, clothing, and other essential items to brighten the lives of the children residing at the Connie Maxwell House.

The act of giving went beyond material possessions, as Hillcrest Baptist Church also included a heartfelt message or something special to convey not just the tangible support but also the emotional connection they wished to share with the children. This thoughtful gesture reflects the church's commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of those in need and creating a sense of community that extends beyond the church walls.

The collaborative effort between Hillcrest Baptist Church and Connie Maxwell House exemplifies the power of compassion and community involvement, demonstrating how collective acts of kindness can leave a lasting impression on the hearts of those who need it.
